Global attention has been brought to the way children are growing up in the age of technological advancement. Our children will be facing unprecedented social and ecological challenges brought about by digital culture which drastically changes the way people behave, think and communicate in society. What could we give to our children today so that they can contribute to and thrive in this new environment?

Founded in 2013, Bodhi Love Foundation is a Hong Kong registered charity under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance that is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of wise and compassionate global citizens and leaders. It is of prime importance in this day and age to invest our attention and resources in our children’s emotional well-being which is the prerequisite for both personal and social achievements. Our dedicated education research team has been looking out for education models which equip the young with skills they would need to navigate a fast-changing world of abundant distractions and weakening interpersonal engagement. One of such models is social emotional learning with an emphasis on mindfulness training. Programs based on such models are developed in our Foundation with an aspiration to share the pedagogical strategies with local schools, educators, and childcare providers of the community. Based firmly in neuroscience research and other studies in emotional well-being and cognitive control, our programs aim to provide children with the knowledge and tools they need to manage stress, regulate emotions and face challenges with optimism, resilience and compassion.

Through joint effort with devotees of education in Hong Kong and other parts of the world, Bodhi Love Foundation aspires to nurture a growing community of secular mindful and emotionally well-adjusted individuals at an early stage of life, who in return will inspire more people to live and work according to such principles, for the sustained well-being of society as a whole now and the years to come.
